Picture Frame to a Dry Erase Calender

I have been wanting a dry erase calender for quite some time. But never could find one that I had to have. They all look the same, nothing fancy.

So, since I got a Cricut for Christmas, I have been all about cutting vinyl. 

Here is what I came up with...

What you will need:

Picture Frame

Fabric of your choice
Vinyl / Pinstripe tape

This is the pinstripe tape. Andrew uses it on his airplanes. He was nice enough to let me use it for my calender, instead of having to cut out lines. 

You will want to have 5 rows with 7 squares. I left space for the Month on the top and then space on the bottom for notes and the days of the weeks. I have seen the days of the week on the top, but I liked having it on the bottom.

You will want to mark for lines so you have even spacing, I just used a dry erase maker, just in case I messed up. 

Cut your lines to length you need, I added a little extra, then use an exacto knife the cut the extra length off. I did the lines across first and then went back and did the lines up and down.

Then with my Cricut I cut out abbreviations for the days.

Then for the bow, I just used Tulle and strung it through the hooks on the back and made a bow with a knot at the top. I wanted to add roosters on either side of the month, but I haven't found one I am crazy over yet. I am sure someday I will add more to it.
