When I went home in the summer of 2011, I was all about crafty and doing all this with my mom. She is the reason for my crafty addiction. Thanks MOM! Here you will find a shirt refashion I did with her. Its so simple, which is what I love about t-shirt refashions. Here is my tutorial...
What you will need:
1 T-shirt
Scissors
Sewing machine
Thread
Start by cutting the sleeves and collar off at the seams.
Next you will inside your shirt out, and cut the top of the shoulder right by the seam.
Then fold each one down, about and inch on either side, and sew a stitch. Now you should have two casings on each shoulder. Next take the sleeves you cut off and cut two one inch width strips. These will then be feed through the casings on the shoulder and tie on the outside. You can tie it how ever you want, a bow or just make a knot and cut the strings off.

Try your shirt on, to see if it needs to be adjusted. We added a little slit in the front. Enjoy your new top!
